Slide Out! – Accessibility sheet
Summary of the accessibility features in Slide Out!.
Vision
- Colour-blind mode (Settings → Accessibility): every non-arrow cell shows a glyph for its colour – yellow dot, orange triangle, red ring, violet diamond, teal plus, blue two bars – so pieces never differ by colour alone.
- Blocked pieces are not shown by colour alone: a launchable piece has a white arrow badge, a blocked piece has none, and tapping it shows the text "Blocked – clear its lane first" in addition to the outline.
- Large text (Settings → Accessibility): scales interface text by 1.3; labels wrap instead of being cut off.
- Contrast: text and muted text reach at least 4.5:1 in every theme (lowest 6.34:1); arrows and icons reach at least 3:1 (lowest 3.14:1).
- Dark interface: the default theme, Classic Glow, is dark, as is Plum Candy; Calm Day is a light theme for players who prefer it.
- Text sizes: body text at least 16 px, labels at least 13 px.
Motion
- Reduce Motion: follows the system Reduce Motion setting on iOS and Android, with an in-app override (Settings → Accessibility). When on, the board skips shake, pop, glow pulses and the unfold animation, and layout changes appear without animation.
- Effects level: low, standard or high (Settings → Accessibility).
- No animated backgrounds; clear and launch effects last at most 300 ms.
Touch and feedback
- Touch targets are at least 44×44 pt on every screen, in normal and large-text mode.
- Sound and vibration can be turned off separately (Settings).
- No timers in the Daily Puzzle, Adventure or Endless: every move can be taken at the player's own pace.
Language
- English, German, Brazilian Portuguese, Spanish, French and Japanese.
Healthy play
- Optional break reminder after a set play time (Settings).
- Reminder notifications are opt-in and respect quiet hours (21:00–09:00 local time).
Not supported yet
- VoiceOver / TalkBack: Godot 4.7 does not expose its accessibility tree on mobile, so the game is not playable with a screen reader.
- System text size (Dynamic Type): the game has its own large text mode (×1.3) and does not follow the system text size.
